Operation:

The hollow rubber spring is the main component of the Maxi-Load suspension upgrade kit. It is not a simple solid rubber part like classic bump stops, but a masterpiece of design. The stiffness and progressivity of the spring are achieved through a judicious design of critical dimensions. The main dimensions influencing performance are height (H1), outer diameter (OD1), and inner diameter (ID3). In addition, the difference between the two chambers (H2, H3, ID1, ID2) plays an important role. This results in characteristics impossible to obtain with a single leaf spring or a coil spring: progressive (variable) stiffness, self-damping by hysteresis, and perfect vibration isolation. But that's not all, because after selecting the hollow rubber spring suitable for your vehicle, its operation can be precisely adjusted using different spacers (dimension T); the moment (or phase) when the auxiliary spring should act, for example, empty or half-loaded, according to your preferences.
