The MAD Air suspension, a model adapted for the Toyota Proace Max 2024+, is in most cases designed to work with the car's original rear leaf spring suspension (semi-air suspension). Air suspension is available in different variants and is suitable for the car owner who wants to be able to adjust the stiffness of their suspension themselves. Air suspension is available as manual filling as you need to have access to air to fill the bellows to the desired pressure. It is also available with a compressor and pressure gauge so you can adjust the desired pressure yourself, even while driving. All MAD air suspension kits are TUV approved and the inspection has nothing to say about the installation.
If your car is equipped with an electronic handbrake as shown in images 11-14, you select this option in the drop-down menu; if your car is equipped with a regular mechanical handbrake "the one you pull yourself", you choose this variant.
By installing air suspension on your car, you get a completely different driving experience, whether you drive loaded or unloaded. All air suspensions are model-specific to match your particular car model. With air suspension, you can also adjust the height of the rear of your vehicle on specific occasions if you need higher ground clearance. Comfort and safety reach a whole new level with MAD air suspension. Good examples of cases where it might be good for you to be able to gain more height at the rear are when you need to get on and off a ferry, park the motorhome in a parking space, or have to cross a high obstacle.
This particular air suspension kit with compressor and pressure gauge is incredibly effective if you own a van, a "Plåtis" motorhome, or a motorhome for which you want the best air suspension on the market. Motorhomes are already heavily built from the start and need to reinforce their rear suspension. A tin box or motorhome will be much better with MAD air bellows at the rear.
This kit includes a 2-way compressor and pressure gauges as shown in the image. The control panel is model-specific and is mounted on the left side of the steering wheel. You can easily adjust the right and left bellows individually while driving, and with a simple push of a button downwards, you can also release air from the bellows if necessary.

You get the best results if the air bellows are mounted with a compressor. You can then partly adjust the air pressure in your bellows with a simple push of a button located inside the car's cabin, but you also avoid the risk of destroying the bellows with too high or too low pressure in them because you are constantly aware of the pressure you have.
Air suspension has the advantage of being able to have different hardness in the right and left bellows, which can be a great advantage if, for example, you have more load on one side of your vehicle. Air suspension also generally supports heavier loads than a steel spring, but it should be emphasized that an air spring does not feel good under constant heavy load, so in these cases, e.g. a robust steel spring would be preferable.

MAD's suspension system is there to compensate for different load weights and to support and assist the car's original spring system so that you maintain safety and comfort even at the maximum allowed load. Suspensions never increase the maximum allowed load weight for the car.
