Rear Suspension Bump Stop Kit for RENAULT MASTER 1996 2010 Maxi Load:

How it works:

The hollow rubber spring is the main component of the Maxi-Load suspension upgrade kit. This is not a simple solid rubber piece like conventional bump stops, but a masterpiece of engineering design. The spring rate and progressiveness are achieved through careful design of the critical dimensions. The main dimensions influencing performance are the height (H1), the outer diameter (OD1) and the inner diameter (ID3). In addition, the difference between the two chambers (H2, H3, ID1, ID2) plays an important role. The result is characteristics impossible to achieve with a single leaf spring or a coil spring: progressive (variable) spring rate, self-damping through hysteresis and perfect vibration isolation. But that is not all, because after selecting the hollow rubber spring suited to your vehicle, its behaviour can be fine-tuned using different spacers (dimension T); the moment (or phase) at which the auxiliary spring should engage, for example when unloaded or half-loaded, according to your preference.

Original system:

Your vehicle is fitted with an OEM bump stop

Weak leaf springs: not optimised for heavy loads.

Spring rate: linear, non-adjustable.

A small and fragile suspension bump stop prevents any harsh contact between the axle and the chassis.

The OEM bump stop is made of cheap, soft synthetic polyurethane or solid rubber.

Poor ride comfort.

Advantages of this system:

The auxiliary spring is installed in place of the OEM bump stop. Spring rate: progressive and adjustable.

The maximum load auxiliary spring is robust and works in conjunction with the leaf spring, at no load or half-load, depending on your configuration.

The maximum load auxiliary spring is made from vulcanised natural rubber.

Stabilises the vehicle.

Provides additional load support

Stabilises body sway

Reduces body roll

Improves ride comfort

Adjustable spring rate

Self-damping

Reduces vibrations.
