MAD suspension is generally designed to work with the vehicle's original leaf spring rear suspension (semi-air suspension). Available in different versions, it is suitable for motorists who wish to adjust the stiffness of their suspension themselves. Air suspension is available with manual filling, as air access is required to inflate the bellows to the desired pressure. It is also available with a compressor and a pressure gauge, allowing you to adjust the pressure yourself, even while driving. There is also a full air suspension that compensates for the original suspension and automatically adjusts the load level.
By installing air suspension on your car, you benefit from a completely different driving experience, whether you are driving loaded or not. All air suspensions are specific to each vehicle model. Thanks to air suspension, you can also adjust the height at the rear of your vehicle on certain occasions, if you need higher ground clearance. Comfort and safety will be at a higher level with MAD air suspension. For example, to get on and off a ferry, park your motorhome, or cross a bump in the road, it may be wise to be able to increase the height at the rear.
This kit includes a bidirectional compressor and a pressure gauge, as shown in the photo. The model-specific control panel is mounted to the left of the steering wheel. You can easily adjust the right and left bellows separately while driving and, if necessary, deflate them with a simple press of a button.

You will get better results if the air bellows are installed with a compressor. This allows you to adjust the air pressure in your bellows with a simple press of a button from the cabin, but you also avoid damaging them by constantly monitoring the pressure.
Air suspension has the advantage of being able to vary the stiffness of the right and left bellows, which can be very advantageous if, for example, the vehicle is more stressed on one side. It can also support heavier loads than a steel spring, but it is important to note that an air spring is less comfortable under a constant high load; in this case, a reinforced steel spring may be more suitable.
