With an additional remote reservoir, the Bilstein B8 5160 offers ultimate vehicle control, even on the toughest terrain. Zinc plating and increased oil capacity dissipate more heat, ensuring long-term durability.
Bilstein's superior high-pressure gas monotube design allows excessive oil heat to transfer to the outer surface of the shock body and dissipate more efficiently. The dividing piston also allows oil to expand as heat builds up, preventing aeration (foaming) and loss of viscosity. This allows the shock absorber to maintain its full damping characteristics as temperature increases. The one-piece aluminum rod guide and seal prevent dirt from entering and maintain an almost friction-free surface for longer life. The self-adjusting deflective disc valve reacts immediately to surface changes, allowing maximum vehicle control. Provides maximum control of vehicle body movements while maintaining superior comfort.
