This kit includes our excellent Pedders TrakRyder Foam Cell front and rear shock absorbers, front coil springs, new rear leaf springs and the necessary bushings and U-bolts to install them. This is our Premium Lift kit and is primarily designed to be able to load and tow heavy loads with the vehicle. So, if you load a lot today and often tow a heavy trailer, this kit is the ultimate for you and your car.

This kit does NOT reduce the load capacity compared to the standard Ford Ranger rear spring. However, our rear spring, combined with our specially vented shock absorber, improves unladen driving, removing some of the harshness that can be felt in the standard vehicle on poor road conditions. This kit will raise the vehicle by approx. 50 mm which gives better ground clearance and an improved appearance. Can be used to accommodate larger tires. The dimensions indicated assume a standard vehicle. If you have additional equipment mounted at the front such as a winch or a bull bar, this will affect the final installation height. If this is the case, please contact us as it may be necessary to provide different springs for your application.

These components replace the original elements. No other vehicle modifications are necessary. After installation, we strongly recommend performing a wheel alignment for optimal performance of your vehicle.

TrakRyder Foam Cell Shock Absorber

Foam cell shock absorbers provide a larger cooling area to improve shock absorber performance and durability by allowing full oil contact with the inner and outer casing. The foam cell technology present in Pedders TrakRyder shock absorbers virtually eliminates all harsh impacts by eliminating oil and air mixing, thus ensuring optimal damping control in all conditions. The 40mm bore and piston are much larger than original shock absorbers and offer a significantly increased improvement in ride.

Pedders Coil Springs

Pedders coil springs belong to the premium variant and are manufactured according to ISO 9001 with a tolerance of only +/-2 mm at load height. Pedders springs are simply unmatched in terms of vehicle handling, appearance and performance.

The design and manufacture of coil springs is a craft that requires strict adherence to a series of rigorous procedures, all essential to the performance of the final product. The spring stiffness, or rate, must be adapted to the weight of the vehicle it is fitted to, as well as the weight of other suspension components and wheels the car is equipped with. Spring stiffness also controls roll stiffness or body roll.

By reducing roll, we reduce the number of wheel changes. Significant camber adjustments can significantly reduce the tire's contact patch with the road, thereby limiting the vehicle's handling potential in corners. The handling of most vehicles is greatly improved by increasing the initial spring stiffness to an optimal rate that maximizes tire grip and reduces roll for better handling. Increasing spring stiffness beyond the optimal value degrades handling potential as tires begin to skip over bumps, thereby reducing grip and safety.

We recommend performing a front wheel alignment after installing this product, otherwise your tires will wear out. Drive the car 2 to 3 km before adjusting the front suspension.
