SPARE WHEEL CARRIER REAR DOOR FIAT DUCATO :
The spare wheel carrier is bolted to the existing hinges of the door and requires drilling a hole in the door panel.
Only suitable for vehicles with 180° door hinges.
Heavy-duty version.
The necessary fasteners for mounting the wheel carrier on the van are included.
The wheel supports bolt to the existing door hinges and require drilling two holes in the door lining and one hole in each hinge.
This wheel carrier can be installed on vans equipped with 180-degree hinges.
Always test the fit of any bolted product before painting to ensure it fits.
Historically, these doors have been very weak around the area where the hinges are bolted.
It is common for them to crack here.
By installing a wheel support that extends over the top of the door between the hinges and the door, you actually reinforce this area and make your door less likely to crack at this point.
The mounting of the wheel support prevents the hinge from flexing the side of the door, which causes stress cracks.
All drilled holes will require bare metal painting to prevent corrosion.
We also bond the door lining support and the door lining, which eliminates the point load on the bolts while sealing the hole to prevent water ingress.
