REAR DOOR SPARE WHEEL CARRIER FIAT DUCATO :
The spare wheel carrier is bolted to the existing door hinges and requires drilling a hole in the door panel.
Only suitable for vehicles with 180° door hinges

The necessary fasteners for mounting the wheel carrier on the van are supplied.
The wheel carriers bolt to the existing door hinges and require drilling two holes in the door skin and one hole in each hinge.
This wheel carrier can be installed on vans equipped with 180-degree hinges.
Always test fit any bolt-on product before painting to be sure it fits.
Historically, these doors have been very weak around the area where the hinges bolt on.
It is common for them to crack here.
By installing a wheel carrier that extends over the top of the door between the hinges and the door, you actually strengthen this area and therefore make your door less likely to crack there.
Mounting the wheel carrier prevents the hinge from flexing the side of the door, which causes stress cracks.
All drilled holes will require painting on bare metal to prevent corrosion.
We also bond the door lining support and the door lining, which eliminates point loading on the bolts while sealing the hole to prevent water ingress.
