Spare wheel carrier details:
All wheel carriers are hand-built and are available within a 14-business day lead time. The construction is very robust, using Mig welded mild steel tube and plate manufactured in-house by our skilled staff.
The wheel carriers are carefully designed for each vehicle brand so that they do not obscure license plates or taillights.
Wheel carriers are supplied unfinished in bare metal so you can finish them as you wish.
Wheels are bolted to the carrier using standard wheel bolts, and we recommend using locking wheel bolts (M14x1.5 thread) for added security. Please note that these are not included with your product.

Wheel carrier installation
The necessary fixings to fit the wheel carrier to the van are supplied.
The wheel carriers pivot on the existing door hinges and require drilling a hole in the door skin. This wheel carrier can be installed in vans with 180 degree hinges.
The system attaches to the door using factory Ford door hinge bolts. The door does not need to be removed to fit this.
Always test any bolted product before painting to ensure it fits.
All drilled holes will require bare metal paint to prevent corrosion. We also label the door skin support and the door skin which eliminates the point load from the bolts while sealing the hole to prevent water penetration.
