Functionality:
The hollow rubber spring is the main component of the Maxi-Load suspension enhancement kit. It is not just a simple solid rubber part like traditional stops, but a masterpiece of design. The stiffness and progressiveness of the spring are achieved through a clever design of critical dimensions. The main dimensions influencing performance are height (H1), outer diameter (OD1), and inner diameter (ID3). Additionally, the difference between the two chambers (H2, H3, ID1, ID2) plays an important role. This results in characteristics that cannot be achieved with a single leaf spring or a coil spring: progressive stiffness (variable), self-damping through hysteresis, and perfect vibration isolation. But that's not all, as after selecting the appropriate hollow rubber spring for your vehicle, its operation can be precisely adjusted using different spacers (dimension T); the moment (or phase) when the auxiliary spring should act, for example when unloaded or half-loaded, according to your preferences.
Original System:
