The MAD air suspension, suitable for Fiat Ducato, Citroën Jumper, and Peugeot Boxer (from 2006), is generally designed to work in conjunction with the original leaf spring rear suspension (semi-air suspension). Available in different versions, it is suitable for drivers who wish to adjust the firmness of their suspension themselves. Inflation can be manual (requiring access to compressed air to inflate the bellows to the desired pressure) or with a compressor and gauge (allowing adjustment while driving). Finally, a full air suspension automatically compensates for the original suspension and adjusts the load level.

This kit includes a bi-directional compressor and a gauge, as illustrated. The model-specific control panel attaches to the left of the steering wheel. For optimal results, install the air bellows with a compressor. This way, you can adjust the air pressure of the bellows with a simple press of a button in the cabin, while avoiding damaging the bellows due to too high or too low pressure.
The air suspension has the advantage of allowing different firmness for the left and right bellows, which can be very useful if, for example, the load is heavier on one side of the vehicle. It generally supports heavier loads than a steel spring suspension, but it should be noted that an air suspension can be uncomfortable under a significant and constant load; in this case, a reinforced steel spring may be preferable.
