With a brand new truck comes a brand new suspension. Now available for the 2019 RAM 1500 4x4, BDS Suspension offers new 10 cm (4 inches) independent front suspension (IFS) systems. Building on the proven high ground clearance technology that has made BDS the benchmark for RAM suspensions, these systems have been completely redesigned to optimize the performance of your new RAM.
These NX shocks provide premium performance at an affordable price. Their twin-tube design with pressurized nitrogen, combined with a 10-position speed-sensitive valve system, ensures ultra-quick and adaptive damping for all terrains, both on-road and off-road. These 5 cm (2 inches) diameter shocks feature a 3.5 cm (1-3/8 inch) Fluon band piston, self-lubricating seals, and a 14 mm hardened chrome shaft for increased resistance to rock impacts and corrosion. The ends are double-welded for added strength. Polyurethane bushings and metal sleeves are included for easy shock replacement. Available with different rod and eyelet bushing configurations for custom applications, these shocks are compatible with all current BDS suspension kits. Their exterior finish is done with a durable silver metallic paint and features the NX logo.

- Cutting required
- Not suitable for diesel models
- Fits only 4x4 models
- For models with STANDARD hub bore only
- Fits only trucks equipped with factory air suspension.
- Fits only 4x4 models equipped with factory air suspension.
- Extreme caution should be taken and instructions should be followed closely to avoid damaging the bags during installation.
- The factory air suspension system is a closed-loop system. If you open the system more times than recommended in the lift instructions, it will need to be recharged. This can be done at any Ram dealership. A diagnostic tool is required to access the air control module and perform maintenance.
- Frame support modification required
- Factory 17 and 18-inch wheels cannot be reinstalled; factory 20-inch wheels can only be reinstalled with factory-sized tires.
- If the truck is equipped with factory 22-inch wheels, use the BDS1642H “large hub bore” steering lift kits (NX2 shocks) or BDS1642FS (FOX shocks), sold separately.
