MAD has developed a special version of its popular air suspension that perfectly fits the raised versions of the Mercedes Sprinter 4X4 2018+. This air suspension is designed to eliminate the sagging that all these motorhomes experience when built at the factory. We simply let the pictures speak for themselves!
This air suspension version includes the MAD compressor and a model-specific control panel that attaches to the side of the driver's seat, as shown in the image.
MAD air suspension is in most cases designed to work with the car's original rear suspension. Air suspension comes in different variants and is suitable for car owners who want to be able to adjust the stiffness of their suspension themselves. Air suspension is available with manual filling as you need to have access to air to fill the bellows to the desired pressure. It is also available with a compressor and pressure gauge so you can set the desired pressure yourself, even while driving. There is also a full air suspension that compensates for the car's original suspension and automatically adjusts the load level. By installing air suspension on your car, you get a completely different driving experience, whether you are driving loaded or unloaded. You get the best results if the air bellows are mounted with a compressor. You can then partly adjust the air pressure in your bellows by simply pressing a button inside the car's cabin, but you also avoid the risk of destroying the bellows with too high or too low pressure in them because you are constantly aware of the pressure you have.
Air suspension has the advantage of being able to have different stiffness in the right and left bellows, which can be a big advantage if, for example, you are cycling. have more load on one side of your vehicle. Air suspension also generally supports heavier loads than a steel spring, but it should be emphasized that an air spring does not feel good under constant and heavy load, so in these cases, e.g. a robust steel spring would be preferable.
