Van-Swing, pivoting module for panel vans with left or right hinge
A well-known issue with panel vans is finding a suitable bike carrier. Bike carriers on the towball obstruct the opening of the rear doors. Additionally, bikes are too heavy for rear door bike carriers and need to be lifted too high.
The perfect solution for this is the Van-Swing Pivoting Module. By mounting the simple pivoting module on an existing or to-be-installed towbar, you can use your own bike carrier. You do not need to remove the bikes and the bike carrier to open the rear doors. The pivoting module allows you to swing the bike carrier with the bikes to the side so that both rear doors can be opened simultaneously.
The VAN-Swing uses the existing mounting points of your towbar. In some cases, the module can be mounted on an existing towbar. If you have doubts about the suitability of your towbar, please contact your dealer or Memo in advance. If a towbar is not yet available, we can provide it separately if necessary. The Van Swing pivoting module is not designed for towing trailer loads.
The advantages of the hinge on the right side of the van: + Safety, the rotating rod turns towards the "curb side" and not towards the road. + Convenience, the correct door opens first, no need to fully open the luggage carrier.

The load capacity of the Van-Swing is 60 kg. This includes the bikes and the bike carrier. This means that if the bike carrier weighs 15 kg, the bikes can still weigh a maximum of 45 kg. Is the combination of bikes and bike carrier too heavy? Then we recommend the Van-Star bike carrier, which can carry (electric) bikes weighing up to 60 kg.
Because the module is placed on the towbar, the bike carrier is at knee height, which is ideal for bikes that do not need to be lifted high. Due to the use of existing mounting points, no modifications need to be made to the vehicle itself. The module is suitable for all Ducato models from 2006 onwards. Upon request, you can also purchase the module for Volkswagen T5 and T6, Renault Master from 2003 to 2010, and Ford Transit Custom from 2014 onwards. In this case, just contact us. The VAN-Swing comes with a built-in 13-pin socket to extend the existing socket. The Van-Swing can now only be ordered in black.
