IMPORTANT :
The following applies only to vehicles manufactured before December 2024. The manufacturer made modifications to the bed reinforcement in November 2024, which resolved this issue.
• To preserve the structural integrity of the bed, Ford recommends installing reinforcement supports (J-braces) when attaching accessories to the bed rail.
• Specifically, this means that for accessories (e.g., hardtops) that extend beyond the bed rail and weigh more than 45 kg, the installation of a J-brace is necessary. The part in question is shown in blue in the illustration.
Ford sells these supports as compatible spare parts, under the following references:
• Ranger (except Raptor) : AMN1WJ27726AA / VN1WZ2627726A
• Ranger Raptor : AMN1WJ27726BA / VN1WZ2627726B
• Failure to comply with this instruction may void the manufacturer's warranty.
