As anyone who has driven on a trail knows, dust and debris are part of off-road life. The F150's intake features a fresh air duct that draws outside air from the driver's fender area. But when the vehicle in front of you kicks up dust or you're wading through a meter of water, that air isn't very fresh. Thick dust often stays close to the ground, where the original fresh air intake is located, but Borne Off-Road has a solution to get fresh air into your intake. This 2017-2020 Ford F150 Borne Off-Road snorkel moves the fresh air intake more than 24 inches above the original location, allowing the engine to draw in cleaner air. Our precision roto-molded tube is made from durable, UV-resistant cross-linked polyethylene that can withstand the sun's heat and any debris the trail can throw at it. The top of our snorkel includes a 6-inch inlet with a steel mesh cover to protect the inlet from large debris. This inlet can also be replaced with a pre-filter to help keep your main intake filter clean. Our snorkel mounts to the F150's body with robust 2.5mm thick steel brackets and mates directly to the original lower airbox, making it applicable for use with the original intake system or the Mishimoto F150 air intake. The brackets and inlet screen are finished with a micro-wrinkle black powder coat for maximum durability.
