The covers feature an elastic cord that runs around the outside of the cover and attaches to the vehicle's body hooks. A thin metal rod runs through the cover behind the ladder rack to keep the cover snug and tight at the cab end. If you do not have hooks on your tailgate, hooks will be provided for you to attach, this will require some minor drilling/riveting.
